Post - Accounts Officer
Location-New Delhi
JOB PURPOSE:
Reporting to the Deputy General Manger-Accounts, the Accounts Officer is responsible for internal controls and audits, reporting, banking relationships and payments while ensuring the authenticity, accuracy, authorization and verifiability of all financial transactions recorded in the accounting system. He/ She must be Proactive and self-driven in handling financial tasks have strong analytical abilities with a focus on problem-solving and the ability to adapt to evolving financial systems and processes. It is a full -time role based in New Delhi.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Checking of Monthly Expenditure and Selection expenditure.
- Entry in accounting software of all payment and expenditures & preparation of Journal and payment Vouchers.
- Timely Bank and cash reconciliations.
- Preparation of Monthly Budget vs Expenditure.
- Data Compilation for monthly budget of Projects
- Ensuring proper maintenance of accounts related Cash book /Bank book etc.
- Ensure timely filing and processing of TDS & GST
- Meet deadlines for financial reporting and compliance
- Develop and maintain all financial documents
- Coordinate with the Accounts team to maintain accurate and timely book keeping
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, consistency and timelines of all TDS matters including applicability, deduction, monthly deposit and quarterly returns
- Manage financial control, prepare and analyze monthly budgets, develop financial reports & make recommendations to the Supervisor on budget expenditures
- Provide financial inputs for logistics, travel and other areas of administration
- Vendor management & processing of payments. Manage all payments to vendors & employees
- File withholding Tax Returns/ TDS Returns and preferably having knowledge of ESI and PF.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- In depth knowledge of Tally
- Strong knowledge of banking relationship and covenants
- Outstanding communication skills: Effectively communicate in English and Hindi.
- Good knowledge of computer-Windows, MS Office: Excel, Word, etc., Google Drive and accounting software.
- Technically good knowledge of GST, Income Tax and other laws applicable to non-for-profit company.
- Deep understanding of budgeting and reporting.
- Must be a team player and focused on the wider goals of the organization. Deep understanding of all financial management processes, the business and related compliances applicable to a development sector agency.
- Know the law and accounting system of India and adhere to company policies
- Meticulously maintain financial records and ensure accuracy
- Updated with tax and accounting regulations.
ELIGIBILITY:
- Post Graduate in M. Com/ MBA Finance/Graduate in B. Com/ BBA with 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
- Should have good communication skills and computer knowledge.
